On the sacred occasion of विश्व स्तनपान सप्ताह (World Breastfeeding Week), Samadhan Abhiyan in collaboration with India Pesticides Limited organized a series of awareness programs under the banner of “चुप्पी तोड़ – हल्ला बोल”. The campaign aims to break the silence around child protection, sexual abuse, and women’s health, with a strong focus on empowering mothers and educating communities.

To highlight the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of a child’s life.
To spread awareness on child rights and protection under the POCSO Act 2012.
To engage community stakeholders in creating safe and nurturing environments for children and mothers.
To empower pregnant and lactating women with scientific, emotional, and legal knowledge.

📍 गोरखपुर | Anganwadi Centre, SidhariPur, Thana Gorakhnath
A dedicated session was held for pregnant women and nursing mothers where the key benefits of exclusive breastfeeding were discussed. 👩⚕️ A special workshop was conducted on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, encouraging parents to stay vigilant and aware. 👥 Presence of Asha and Anganwadi workers made the session more interactive and grassroots-focused.
📍 गाजियाबाद | Bal Mitra Kendra, Thana Sahibabad
A large-scale program was organized with the participation of local women, lactating mothers, and children. 📚 Students and faculty of National Public School, Sahibabad visited the Bal Mitra Centre and learned about its functioning. 🗣 The session was conducted by Mrs. Archana Agnihotri, founder of Samadhan Abhiyan, who emphasized the social importance of breastfeeding and child protection laws. 👩👧 Valuable information was shared about malnutrition, maternal care, and early childhood development.
📍 सुरसा | Anganwadi Centre, Gram Panchayat Sursa, Thana Sursa
The rural outreach program in Hardoi was a heartfelt initiative where expecting mothers were sensitized about health, nutrition, and emotional well-being. 💬 The session was coordinated by Deepanshu Pandit, coordinator of Bal Mitra Kendra. 👩🏫 Anganwadi teachers and workers contributed to making the session deeply interactive and informative.
💡 Key Messages Shared:
Breastfeeding is one of the most effective ways to ensure a child’s health and survival.
Still, less than half of infants under 6 months of age are exclusively breastfed globally.
Awareness of the POCSO Act is essential for every parent and guardian to protect children from abuse and exploitation.
Community participation is critical in ensuring safe environments for children and women.
