We wish there will be no more #metoo stories to hear in the future, not because victims will fear to report but because there will be no more victims!

Samadhan Abhiyan

Community Empowerment To End Child Sexual Abuse

Samadhan Abhiyan was founded in 2015 by Archanaa Agnihotri and Dr. S. C. Pandey, inspired by Archanaa’s husband Uday Agnihotri.

Uday Agnihotri graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He decided to leave his job at California Department of Real Estate and return to India. He wanted to help people in his home country make India a better place to live in.

Launch of "Satark Rahein Surakshit Rahein " by Mr. Sandeep Singh, Hon’ble Education Minister (Basic Shiksha), Uttar Pradesh

Mr. Sandeep Singh, the Honourable Education Minister (Basic Shiksha), Government of Uttar Pradesh, launched Satark rahein Surakshit rahein, a book published by India Pesticides Limited and Samadhan Abhiyan under project Chuppi Tod-Halla Bol, on 17 Aug 2024. This book imparts knowledge about prevention of child sexual abuse and information about the POCSO Act in the form of riddles, songs, and games to enable better understanding among children, parents, and teachers. Along with the book, we also launched a POCSO module and specially created material for visually impaired children, a collaborative effort by India Pesticides Limited and Samadhan Abhiyan with the National Association for the Blind. The Honourable Minister praised India Pesticides Limited’s initiative, saying that these materials will play a significant role in raising awareness about child sexual abuse and enhancing the safety of visually impaired children. Mr. Ramakrishnan Subramoniam (Manager – Quality Assurance, India Pesticides Limited), Mrs. Archana Agnihotri, Ms. Sheelam Bajpai, and Mrs. Saumya Dwivedi (all Directors of Samadhan Abhiyan), Dr. Amita Dubey (Honorary Vice President, National Association for the Blind), and Ms. Aakriti Chaudhary (Co-Founder, Just Learn India) were present during the event.

The POCSO Act

The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was enacted in 2012 by the Government of India to protect children from offences of sexual abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography.
The act regards any person under the age of eighteen as a child. The welfare of the child is of paramount importance to ensure the healthy physical, emotional, mental and social development of the child.

What we offer

We at Samadhan Abhiyan work earnestly to create a comprehensive awareness and education about the prevention of sexual abuse of children among children, parents, teachers and all other stakeholders in the society.

Samadhan Abhiyan is doing a great service in making the community aware on how to prevent children from sexual offences. Their approach to this prevention is the need of the hour. Their project "Sashakt Bachpan - Sashakt Desh" to create 100% sensitization in this field has my support.

Mr. Arjun Malhotra Technology entrepreneur, philanthropist, industrialist, co-founder of HCL Group

To my mind, one of the greatest obstacles to children safety from sexual predators is the cultural reluctance in discussing sex. The greatest good your NGO is doing is in talking of the issue in open and without embarrassment. A big deterrence to a predator would be the fear of his/her conduct becoming the subject matter of an open discussion, name and shame. By bringing this subject in the open you guys are doing a great service.
